Each month, we spotlight an employee from our Androscoggin Valley Hospital community to help you get to know them.

Meet James Patry, Vice President, Marketing & Community Relations of North Country Healthcare (NCH). James began this role on October 1 after serving as a dual NCH/AVH employee in Public Relations and Marketing. He began his AVH career in July 2008 as Public Relations & Marketing Director. As part of his current role, James manages internal and external communication campaigns, including the “We Are” series for NCH.

In his free time, James enjoys playing golf, researching genealogy, and serving in Board volunteer capacities for the AVH Auxiliary, Coos Economic Development Corporation and White Mountain Rotary. Rotary is a particular passion for James, as he likes to see the direct, positive impact that the activities and fundraising yield. Earlier this year, a Rotary golf tournament was held in memory of longtime Rotarian and AVH Auxiliary Board Member Guy Lopez, who passed away in 2021. The event helped raise money for area schoolchildren interested in skiing who may not have the ability to afford the associated equipment.

Finally, you must know that James is an enthusiastic Syracuse University fan!
