University of New Hampshire Extension: Virtual: Designing and Implementing your Strategic Planning Process

Student 3038994 1920

University of New Hampshire Extension recently issued the following announcement.

The past year has brought significant changes to our communities, organizations, and businesses and many have found themselves needing to adapt rapidly to a changing environment.  As we move into the next phases of recovery, this may be a good time to more deeply assess the current situation, what trends are likely to impact your organization in the long term, and how stakeholder needs may have changed in order to identify opportunities and develop a plan to meet your organizations vision and goals.

Strategic planning is a great tool to understand where your organization is today, where it’s going, and how to get there.  A strategic plan can define your purpose, help communicate with constituents, use resources more efficiently, and create metrics to measure success.  A good strategic plan becomes a living document for the organization that is regularly revisited to ensure goals are being met or adapted due to unexpected circumstances.

This 3 session virtual series will explore best practices for developing and implementing a strategic planning process.  This will be an interactive and practice based training and participants will have the opportunity to bring their own scenarios and work within the sessions to design a process for their community or organization.
