Weeks Medical Center issued the following announcement on February 10.

New Laboratory Now Open at Weeks Medical Center

A Letter to the Community from Weeks President Mike Lee

Dear Friends,

The new state-of-the-art North Country Healthcare Weeks Medical Center Laboratory is now open. This major building project started in October 2021 and concluded the week of February 7. The total cost equaled $1.4 million. The new lab houses a variety of new analyzers that provide increased local tests for bacterial infections, respiratory viruses, blood sugar levels, and infections, to name only a few. The analyzers increase diagnostic capabilities, provide quicker test results, and thus expedite quality, timely care.

To date, $165,000 has been raised for the new lab. Thank you for your generosity if you have already made a gift to this project. If you have not donated or would like to make an additional gift, your support of any amount is greatly appreciated. Click here to donate online.

With your help, amazing things can and do happen at Weeks Medical Center. I am always so grateful to all our community partners, patients, and families who we serve.

Best regards and thank you for your support!
