White Mountains Visitors Center recently issued the following announcement.

The “Pumpkin Patch” runs the weekend of October 30st and 31st.  Children that ride on the Pumpkin Patch Run may pick out their very own pumpkin as a free Halloween treat.  Everyone is encouraged to get into the spirit of Halloween by wearing costumes.  “The Pumpkin Patch” departs from North Conway Village for a leisurely roundtrip ride aboard vintage coaches with a stop off at the “Pumpkin Patch” where you can also purchase apple cider and donuts.  Reservations recommended and can be purchased online. Three trains board daily at 10:30, 12:30 and 2:30. Come early or stay late to explore the vintage station, Conway Scenic’s own fire engine and other equipment on display.
