Job Title:   Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Welder / Tradesperson

Department:  Public Works Department

Rate of Pay:   $23.08 per hour

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel engine-powered vehicles and heavy equipment.  This position will also provide trades skill in the construction field periodically. The successful candidate will be required to perform a wide variety of mechanical work ranging from routine maintenance to heavy equipment repairs, as well as be responsible for routine paint and or bodywork on all City-owned vehicles. NH Vehicle Inspection License and ASE Certification are preferred. The successful candidate will be required to have or obtain within 6 months of employment a Commerical Drivers License Class B with air brake endorsement.
