Community Development Block Grant Application

The Town of Colebrook, NH Select Board will hold three consecutive public hearings on July 23, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Colebrook Town Hall, 17 Bridge Street Colebrook, NH to hear public comment on a proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application, Housing and Community Development Plan and Anti-displacement and Relocation Plan. 

The Town of Colebrook may apply for up to $500,000 in CDBG funds annually.  Funds must directly benefit low to moderate-income persons.  In addition to housing and community facility projects, CDBG funds can be used for economic development, improvements to water and sewer systems, and certain public facilities such as a daycare center.  Planning grants up to $25,000 are available.

The proposed CDBG application is as follows:

  • The Town submittal of a Community Development Block Grant application of up to $500,000 for the purpose of assisting the Colebrook Homeowners Cooperative with the costs of replacing the existing water distribution system to benefit low and moderate-income households.
  • Review the Town of Colebrook’s Housing and Community Development Plan.
  • Review the Town of Colebrook’s Residential Anti-displacement and Relocation Plan.
