City of Berlin, NH recently issued the following announcement.
Berlin Master Plan Project Announcement/First Community Forum
Greetings,
The City of Berlin is currently updating its 2010 Master Plan, a long-term planning document that guides the community’s overall character, growth, development activity, infrastructure investments, and land use changes in the community. It provides guidance to local officials making decisions on budgets, ordinances, capital improvements, land use regulations, and other issues related to development, resource protection, and quality of life.Throughout this process, Berlin will confirm the overarching goals and vision for the City, analyze community issues and opportunities, and identify clear actions to achieve the vision and goals that emerge.
The City invites you to participate in this initiative by providing your thoughts on Berlin’s future and what should be prioritized in the next five to ten years. Berlin is offering the following ways to contribute to the Master Plan Update:
Save the date! Berlin will be hosting an interactive public forum on August 10th at 6 PM at White Mountains Community College in the Bistro where participants will learn about the project and participate in a discussion on Berlin’s future. More information on this event can be found on the City’s website: https://www.berlinnh.gov/planning-department/master-plan-update-2021
Submit your idea for a title for Berlin’s 2022 Master Plan! Having an interesting title for a Master Plan is a way to build excitement about Berlin’s future. The Master Plan Committee will review submissions and select the final title. Creative, visionary, and inspiring ideas are welcome!
Fill out brief online feedback forms on topics that you care most about in Berlin. These are posted on the City’s project webpage. You may also print out the feedback forms and fill out part or all of the form and mail them to City Hall. Paper versions are available at the City Hall and the Library or by calling the Planning Department at 603-752-8587.
We have also attached a flyer that describes the project and links directly to the project website. We would greatly appreciate it if you would send this flyer along to colleagues, friends, neighbors, and others that live, work, and/or play in Berlin. We also welcome posting this flyer to social media to share this project if you are willing to do so.
